Job summary

TCI Transportation in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Business Development Manager for Commercial Leasing & Rentals to expand Dedicated Transportation, Leasing, Maintenance, and Logistics services. This role focuses on consultative sales, building long-term partnerships, and delivering customized transportation solutions.

You will lead revenue growth, manage relationships, and work with Pricing, Operations, and Executives to ensure winning proposals, strong ROI, and successful customer launches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/heavy fleet leasing and rental business development and maintenance service sales.
• Proven ability to generate new business and close complex sales opportunities.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate New Business by identifying, prospecting, and developing relationships with new customers.
• Build Trusted Partnerships by understanding each customer’s operational challenges and delivering customized transportation solutions.
• Develop Business Cases by evaluating customer operations, calculating cost models, and demonstrating measurable ROI.
• Lead Customer Meetings that uncover pain points, address objections, validate solutions, and establish clear next steps.
• Collaborate with Pricing & Operations to ensure every proposal is operationally sound and financially competitive before presenting it to the customer.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM Excellence through accurate opportunity tracking, detailed discovery notes, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Support Successful Customer Launches by partnering with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and long-term customer success.
• Manage Existing Accounts while identifying opportunities to expand services and strengthen customer relationships.
