Job summary

WGI is seeking a Proposal Manager, Transportation to lead pursuit efforts across multiple Florida offices, including Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. The role emphasizes strategic planning, content development, and coordination of a team to deliver compliant, winning proposals.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in A/E/C proposal work, strong messaging and editing capabilities, and a track record of coordinating across geographically dispersed teams. Flexible, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of effective proposal and presentation best practices and tools, including how to convey messages, themes, differentiators, and responses to evaluation criteria clearly and effectively
• Strong proposal writing and editing skills, including grammar and style
• Very strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work and coordinate efforts across the firm's geographic reach
• Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
• Work ownership, accountability, reliability, a positive can-do attitude, and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team
• Assertive, resourceful, problem solver
• Must be able to adjust to multiple, concurrent deadlines and delegate
• Attention to detail and ability to provide feedback constructively
• Intermediate/Advanced skills in Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)
• Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
• Effective use of AI a plus
• Must be flexible and willing to work overtime when needed

Responsibilities

• Support pursuit managers on pre-marketing and go/no-go decisions
• Collaborate in strategic planning to evaluate pre-marketing intelligence and win strategies
• Manage the proposal teams, including coordinators and specialists
• Align with Transportation Division strategic and business plans
• Coordinate production of compliant proposals per management process
• Coordinate content with technical staff and subconsultants
• Coordinate graphics with designers
• Analyze debriefs and apply lessons to strategy
• Facilitate production planning meetings
• Coordinate presentation production
• Assist in rehearsals and presentation practices
• Ensure quality of all materials (messages, consistency, spelling, grammar)
• Lead updates of resumes, project descriptions, photos, boilerplate
• Responsible for page-turn quality control
• Assist proposal coordinators in production process
