Job summary

GEODIS in Sparks, NV is seeking a Transport Coordinator to optimize load profiles, manage carrier assignments, and ensure timely delivery for clients. You will work with the Transportation Management System (TMS) to consolidate orders, plan routes, and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience or equivalent education/training
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or coordinator role
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems
• Experience with optimization tools preferred
• PC literate with Excel/Outlook/Word/Access

Responsibilities

• Consolidates client orders into optimal load profiles and assigns carriers using the Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Responsible for load planning, optimization, routing and scheduling of all transportation modes
• Develops and implements final stage system parameters that drive load assignments that meet client routing expectations
• Responds to client needs by answering emails, calls, tracking and moving shipments
• Serves as the daily direct point of contact for client; direct point of contact for issues requiring immediate attention
• Negotiates with carriers daily and makes decisions on behalf of client within client parameters
• Monitors on-time pick-up and delivery based on daily reports
• Creates, analyzes and presents financial and service reports to clients on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
