Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager in the Albuquerque area to lead TOM operations across multiple sites. You will manage a dynamic team of Operations and Area Managers, drive strategic planning, and push continuous improvement to meet business objectives.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of management, and experience with staffing lifecycle, lean methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration. Flexibility for overnight and weekend hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of direct management experience.
• Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions, or experience with project management.
• Experience in organizational leadership and development, talent management, or senior leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for TOM including safety, productivity, financial and labor planning.
• Provides strategic long-term planning (3, 6, 12 months) including labor forecasting and peak season planning.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity.
• Networks with leaders across the network to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
• Sets clear goals for Operations and Area Managers and monitors performance.
• Mentors and develops leaders and staff.
• Participates in recruiting to identify and evaluate candidates for promotion and hire.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
