Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in El Paso, TX is seeking a Senior Transportation Manager to lead TOM operations, coach and mentor the team, and drive operational excellence. The role includes budget ownership, strategic planning, and cross-site collaboration.

You will work with HR, Finance, Safety, IT and other leaders to secure resources, recruit talent, and deliver safety, quality, and customer experience metrics across a multi-site network in NM/TX/AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of direct management experience.
• Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Owns and delivers the operational budget for TOM.
• Strategic level/long-term planning (3, 6, 12 months) including labor planning and peak season planning.
• Drives continuous improvement projects to optimize operations and improve productivity.
• Networks with leaders across the network to drive efficiencies and cost savings.
• Establishes objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
• Sets clear goals and evaluates performance; mentors leaders.
• Participates in recruiting for promotions and hires.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
