Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage shipment optimization and carrier scheduling in Oak Brook, IL. You will troubleshoot issues, maintain data in the transportation management system, and communicate across CS, operations, sourcing, and facilities to meet service requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least two years in transportation/logistics, with strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, transportation, supply chain or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of transportation/logistics experience.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience with Windows applications and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload.
• Strong engagement and partnership skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Shipment optimization – assign the best cost carrier based on routing and financial parameters.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, resolve issues with suggested resolution.
• Schedule, coordinate and monitor carriers to ensure on-time operations.
• Develop, plan and modify daily schedules; notify customer service and operations manager.
• Communicate with customers and teams to meet requirements.
• Enter data into TMS; generate required reports.
• Maintain coding accuracy; escalate as needed.
• Maintain audit schedules and distribute updates to teammates.
• Point of contact for shipment status requests from stakeholders.
• Coordinate special transportation needs when requested.
• Track and trace activities to ensure optimal service.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships; hold carriers accountable.
