Job summary

New Orleans Regional Transit Authority is seeking a Transportation Planner to administer short- and long-range transit service plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners. You will assist in planning routes, contribute to the Title VI Annual Report, manage special projects, and support strategic bus and rail service integration.

The role reports to the Director of Capital Projects and requires a Bachelor’s in a related field with several years of transit planning experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, transportation planning, engineering, or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in transit, transportation, urban planning, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and oversee consultants and contractors.
• Prepare and maintain transit plans and data analyses for short- and long-range planning.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies on transit projects.
• Develop materials to communicate transit service plans and recommendations.
• Present findings to staff and outside agencies.
