Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced urban planning professional to lead planning and transportation projects in the Baton Rouge area, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients. You will develop planning studies, perform data-driven analyses using GIS and traffic software, and contribute to environmental documents.

You will mentor junior staff, prepare scopes of work and proposals, and help craft major sections of reports and plans, with opportunities to influence regional infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, geography, engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in urban planning, geography, engineering or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of related professional experience (5+ for Master’s).
• Experience coordinating with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Leads coordination with project team members and other discipline areas.
• Develops and maintains client meetings and interactions.
• Conducts or directs research on planning policies and concepts.
• Develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation projects.
• Leads preparation and production of plans, reports, and environmental documents.
• Responsible for presentations and public facilitation.
• Coordinates with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel.
• Mentors and directs work of less experienced staff.
• Assists in preparing scopes of work, fee proposals, and RFP responses.
• Writes major sections of reports and coordinates contributions of others.
