Job summary

Transit Department seeks a Senior Planner to support ABQ RIDE's planning team on upcoming projects, collaboration with other agencies, and compliance programs. Primary responsibilities include leading planning staff, coordinating major projects, and advancing equitable transit initiatives in Albuquerque.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning or field directly related to this job description.
• Five years managerial planning experience.
• Two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, train and review staff for planning and development operations.
• Coordinate inter-agency staff to create and modify major plans and guidelines.
• Develop and implement programs to enhance planning and development.
• Train staff in planning methods, procedures and techniques.
• Verify accuracy and compliance of work performed by staff.
• Review projects for consistency with policies and regulations.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to officials and professionals on planning aspects.
• Coordinate with agencies to advance plans and projects.
• Collect and analyze data for reports and community needs.
