Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a Manager level professional to oversee the Transfer Center operations and advising for prospective transfer students. You will ensure compliance with policies, manage transfer credit processing, and coordinate with Admissions for recruitment efforts.

The role will also support transfer partnerships, staff supervision, and portal management for Transfer Virginia, with a hybrid work arrangement and occasional after-hours needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience or training (minimum)
• Two years of experience working with college students in a college or university setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage time, provide clear direction, and establish efficient priorities
• Ability to collaborate with others on projects
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience fostering an environment of respect and civility with diverse populations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Google applications, including presentations and spreadsheets

Responsibilities

• Oversee the evaluation and processing of transfer credits for incoming and continuing undergraduate students.
• Manage the process for advising prospective transfer students.
• Collaborate with the Office of Admissions to support transfer recruitment activities.
• Provide transfer advising services to prospective students.
• Support staff development and program initiatives.
• Serve as portal manager for Transfer Virginia and related tech tools.
