Job summary

The City of Meridian is seeking a Total Rewards & Compensation Analyst to support compensation, classification, and total rewards programs. You will perform advanced analytics to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, and legal compliance, serving as a technical resource to the HR Director.

You will also assist with employee benefits analytics. Responsibilities include market benchmarking, job evaluations, data integrity in HRIS (Workday), and preparing reports for leadership and City

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in compensation analysis, classification, or total rewards administration.
• Requires three years experience in benefit plan administration.
• Knowledge of compensation theory, job evaluation methodologies, and public sector pay structures.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws including FLSA.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and HRIS reporting tools; ability to prepare clear reports for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develops reports, analysis, and recommendations to leadership and HR teams.
• Provides excellent customer service when responding to internal and external customers.
• Maintains and updates job descriptions and classification documentation.
• Supports compensation, classification, and total rewards projects and initiatives.
• Collaborates with Finance and Payroll to validate workforce and compensation data.
