Job summary

Mercury Insurance Company is seeking a Sr. Total Rewards Analyst to design and analyze compensation and benefits programs.

The role blends compensation (60%) with benefits strategy (40%), partnering with HR, payroll, and finance to ensure equity, competitiveness, and compliance across Mercury’s programs. The position supports Mercury’s career architecture initiative, analyzes job data, and provides data-driven recommendations to align architecture with compensation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Economics, Business, or Mathematics.
  • CCP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or Total Rewards with compensation focus.
  • Experience with market pricing, compensation structures, annual planning, pay equity, and data analysis.
  • Experience evaluating benefits programs and vendor data; supporting benefits strategy/communications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise HR initiatives, job architecture, or cross-functional projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support compensation philosophy, governance, and program design.
  • Conduct market pricing, internal equity, pay equity, range analysis.
  • Prepare models, dashboards, reports, and recommendations for HR leaders.
  • Support annual compensation planning, offers, promotions, transfers.
  • Maintain compensation structures, job data, and range information.
  • Support career architecture data alignment and governance.
  • Help evaluate benefits programs, vendor data, and plan performance.
  • Provide practical guidance to HR partners and managers on Total Rewards topics.
  • Use HRIS and analytics tools to improve data quality and decision making.
  • Stay current on compensation and benefits practices and regulatory developments.
  • Identify and responsibly use AI-enabled tools to improve analysis and reporting.
