Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Category Management to own the technology spend across Hardware/Telecom/Cloud, Software and Technology Services. You will shape category strategy, lead end-to-end sourcing events, and coach a global team to deliver measurable value.

The role emphasizes savings, risk management, supplier performance, and alignment with business and IT stakeholders. Strong negotiation, analytics, and knowledge of licensing and subscription models are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years in strategic sourcing/category management with 5+ years in tech.
• 3+ years leading cross-geography teams.
• Proven success negotiating complex tech contracts and delivering savings.
• Strong knowledge of tech commercial models and risk.
• Advanced analytical skills; spend analytics and sourcing tools.
• Excellent communication and executive presence.
• Experience with MA&D sourcing support; healthcare or regulated industry a plus.
• Certifications CPSM/CPP/ISM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage category strategies and plans.
• Own category productivity, cost savings and pipeline.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations and awards.
• Drive savings realization and ensure adoption of negotiated terms.
• Manage supplier performance, risk, and contracts; run business reviews.
• Coordinate stakeholders and provide leadership updates to senior leadership.
• Manage category budgets and measure performance with metrics.
• Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies.
• Support MA&D and corporate initiatives.
• Lead process improvements and standardization across the function.
• Oversee team across onshore and offshore locations.
• Bridge procurement with scalable AI deployment.
• Support the Director in stakeholder engagement.
