Job summary

Cencora, Inc. invites a Senior Manager, Technology Category Management to shape category strategy for hardware/telecom/cloud, software, or technology services.

You will lead sourcing events, negotiate contracts, and guide a cross-functional team to deliver measurable savings and supplier performance across the enterprise. You will manage a diverse portfolio across onshore and offshore teams, driving process improvements, risk management, and value realization while staying aligned with business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or procurement, with at least 5 years focused on technology categories.
• 3+ years of experience leading or coaching team members; experience managing teams across multiple geographies preferred.
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value technology contracts and delivering measurable savings.
• Strong understanding of technology commercial models (licensing, subscription, consumption, SOW/T&M/fixed-price) and related risk, data privacy and security considerations.
• Advanced analytical skills; proficiency with spend analytics and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Power BI, Excel).
• Excellent communication and executive presence; proven ability to influence senior business and IT stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage category strategies, sourcing plans and pipeline priorities for assigned technology spend.
• Own category productivity (cost savings and cost avoidance) and build a prioritized opportunity pipeline.
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluations, negotiations and award recommendations; guide complex commercial issues.
• Drive delivery of negotiated productivity and validate savings against baseline spend.
• Manage supplier performance, contract compliance and issue resolution across the portfolio.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align requirements, timelines and handoffs; act as primary contact with leadership.
• Manage category budgets, savings tracking and resource utilization with metrics.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends and vendor capabilities to inform strategy and negotiations.
• Support MA&D and corporate initiatives including due diligence and post-transaction integration.
• Lead process improvements and standardization; supervise onshore and offshore teams.
• Bridge traditional procurement with scalable AI deployment to drive efficiency.
