Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Manager of Technology Category Management to lead category strategy, sourcing plans and supplier negotiations for technology spend. The role partners with IT and business stakeholders to drive productivity, savings, and supplier performance while managing contracts and governance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in strategic sourcing with technology focus, strong analytics, and proficiency with Ariba, Power BI and Excel. A CPSM/CPP/ISM certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology or related field
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 3 years focused on technology categories
• Demonstrated success negotiating technology contracts and delivering measurable savings
• Working knowledge of licensing, subscriptions, SOW/T&M/fixed-price, SLAs and related risk considerations
• Proficiency with spend analytics and sourcing tools (e.g., Ariba, Power BI, Excel)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Professional certification (CPSM, CPP, ISM or similar) a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies, sourcing plans and annual spend plans for assigned areas
• Identify productivity opportunities and maintain an opportunity pipeline
• Lead sourcing events, supplier evaluations and negotiations
• Manage contracts and governance to maximize long-term value
• Deliver negotiated productivity and track benefits
• Manage supplier performance, SLAs and risk
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and provide status updates
• Budget and savings tracking and reporting to leadership
• Stay informed on market trends and vendor capabilities
• Support MA&D and post-transaction activities
