Job summary

Hertha Metals is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive commercialization of our next-generation steelmaking technology from Conroe, TX. You will engage with OEMs, mines, and strategic partners, translating technical benefits into economic value and guiding early adoption within steel and magnet ecosystems.

The role requires 3–7+ years in technical sales, a related engineering or business degree, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with strong business judgment.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of experience in technical sales or related commercial roles in steel, metals, or industrial sectors.
• Experience selling technical products or solutions to OEMs, manufacturers, or industrial customers is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience working in fast-paced startup or industrial environments.
• Strong business judgment in evolving, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to introduce Hertha Metals technology to OEMs and industrial customers.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the steel and metals value chain.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for customers.
• Conduct economic and cost-benefit analyses to demonstrate commercial impact.
• Partner with engineering, R&D, and operations teams to align capabilities with customer needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within steel, ferrous metals, and industrial sectors.
• Represent Hertha Metals at industry events and trade shows.
• Support contract negotiations and move opportunities from engagement to close.
