Job summary

IonQ is seeking a Technical Program Manager in the United States to oversee cross-functional projects, schedules, budgets, and risks, aligning with technical and strategic goals. This role spans from component upgrades to integration with Capella’s NextGen spacecraft designs.

You will coordinate multiple development efforts, mentor teams, and ensure rigorous documentation and transparent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field; business degree acceptable with aerospace experience.
• Proficiency in project management software tools and collaboration platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, Capella employees must be a U.S. citizen or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Experience leading technology projects through full program lifecycle with planning, execution, closure, stakeholder management and issue/dependency management.
• Experience maintaining a project portfolio, ensuring alignment with objectives, tracking schedules and status across multiple projects.
• Prioritize projects based on strategic importance, resource availability and impact.
• Manage complex budgets including labor forecasts, actuals, materials, and subcontractors.
• Mentor and share knowledge with project resources to ensure accountability for deliverables.
• Create clear documentation and communicate with a broad range of audiences.
