Job summary

SmartBear, a leading software quality company, is seeking a Procurement Manager to own the centralized procurement function and steward vendor relationships from onboarding to renewal.

You will negotiate terms, analyze costs, and partner with Finance, Legal, and Information Security to optimize third‑party spend, while ensuring policy adherence and continuous process improvement for a growing tech organization.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressively responsible procurement experience, preferably including technology and SaaS procurement.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including pricing, payment terms, SLAs, renewal provisions, and other contractual terms.
• Experience developing and improving procurement processes, policies, controls, and supporting technology in a growing organization.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions and with suppliers.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own SmartBear’s centralized procurement process and ensure a streamlined, compliant purchasing experience.
• Build strategic vendor relationships from onboarding through renewal with focus on pricing, quality, and service levels.
• Lead negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and contractual provisions; conduct cost analyses to maximize value.
• Collaborate with IT and Finance on budgeting, spend reporting, accruals, and financial planning related to third‑party spend.
• Use spend analysis and market research to identify new vendors and procurement channels while strengthening compliance.
