Job summary

GitLab seeks a Manager, Procurement to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations for software, cloud infrastructure, and hyperscaler partnerships. You will shape sourcing strategies, collaborate with senior leaders, and drive cost savings across technology categories.

You’ll report to the Senior Director of Procurement and coordinate with Legal, Finance, and IT to optimize spend, adopt P2P improvements, and explore AI-enabled procurement solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in category management.
• Experience procuring software as a service, cloud infrastructure, or other technical products/services.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for software, cloud, infrastructure, consulting, and other technology suppliers.
• Develop category and sourcing strategies supporting CTO, CIO, and CSO teams.
• Manage relationships and performance programs for critical suppliers, including hyperscaler/cloud partners.
• Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence research within assigned categories.
• Develop KPI and performance reports; present to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Finance to forecast demand and manage spend against budgets.
• Guide procurement decisions with stakeholders; balance cost, risk, and service quality.
• Improve procure-to-pay processes and reduce cycle times; explore AI-enabled procurement opportunities.
