Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Manager, Procurement to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations for technology suppliers, including software, cloud infrastructure, and hyperscalers. You will partner with CTO, CIO, and CISO and work across Finance, Legal, Security, IT to shape sourcing strategies and drive savings.

You will report to the Senior Director of Procurement and align procurement activities with global stakeholders across time zones, balancing risk, cost, and value

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and complex contract negotiation.
• Experience procuring software as a service, cloud infrastructure, or other technical products and services.
• Understanding of procure-to-pay processes and systems; Zip experience preferred.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• 5-7 years procurement experience with at least 3 years in category management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for software, cloud, infrastructure, consulting, and other technology suppliers.
• Develop category strategies that support the CTO, CIO, and CISO organizations.
• Manage relationships and lead performance management programs for critical suppliers, including hyperscaler and cloud partners.
• Conduct spend analysis and market intelligence research; monitor trends and risks.
• Develop KPI and performance reports; present to senior leadership.
• Forecast demand and manage spend with Finance partners by category budgets.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, IT across procurement lifecycle.
• Identify savings opportunities balancing cost, risk, and quality.
• Improve procure-to-pay processes to reduce cycle times.
• Explore AI-enabled procurement processes, analysis, and negotiation prep.
