Job summary

MEMPHIS LIGHT GAS & WATER (MLGW) in Memphis seeks a Manager, Organizational & Talent Development to lead talent strategies that build workforce capabilities across electricity, natural gas and water services. The role integrates talent acquisition, workforce planning, learning and development, and leadership development to strengthen organizational effectiveness and proactively address emerging talent needs.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills required.
Experience aligning talent initiatives with business needs.
Experience with workforce planning and leadership development is desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead workforce planning and talent strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
Identify critical skill gaps and develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain talent.
Develop and oversee learning and talent development programs to strengthen capabilities and leadership.
Integrate talent development, performance succession, and career planning to strengthen talent pipelines.
Lead leadership development and organizational effectiveness initiatives to improve engagement and performance.
Oversee assessments and tools to support hiring decisions.
