Islamic Development & Empowerment in America (IDEA) seeks an Engagement Coordinator to source and recruit diverse talent for events and campaigns. You will manage relationships with talent, agents, and partners, coordinating travel and hospitality to ensure a professional, brand-aligned experience.

The role partners with Events, Marketing, Fund Development, and Programs to identify talent for campaigns and reach diverse audiences across markets. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in communications, public relations, marketing, business, entertainment management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in talent acquisition, talent relations, artist management, influencer relations, event management, partnerships, or a related field.
• This position requires travel as needed to support organizational activities.
• Strong ability to identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with established and emerging talent.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and networking skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, including experience working with talent representatives, agents, and external partners.
• Ability to provide a high level of professionalism, discretion, hospitality, and artist care.
• Strong understanding of social media, cultural trends, influencers, and emerging talent.
• Ability to manage multiple talent relationships and engagements simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing event and campaign needs.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Source, recruit, and maintain a diverse portfolio of talent for organizational events and campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective and existing talent.
• Manage relationships with talent, agents, managers, and representatives from recruitment through engagement.
• Coordinate talent travel, accommodations, transportation, hospitality, itineraries, and special requirements.
• Track engagement impact, reach, and effectiveness to inform future recruitment strategies.
• Maintain organized talent records and engagement history.
• Collaborate with Events, Marketing, Fund Development, Programs, and other departments to identify suitable talent.
