IDEA (Islamic Development & Empowerment in America) is seeking a National Events Manager to lead the operational planning, management, and execution of diverse events, under the direction of the Assistant Director, Events & Strategic Campaigns.

You will coordinate venues, vendors, travel, catering, AV, and post-event evaluation, while guiding Regional Event Coordinators to ensure consistent, high-quality events across IDEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, hospitality management, public relations or related fields preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in coordinating events.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support organizational activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events from initial planning through post-event evaluation.
• Develop and manage timelines, checklists, budgets, and logistics plans.
• Lead venue sourcing, site selection, negotiations, and contracting.
• Coordinate all event logistics including hotels, transportation, travel, and catering.
• Manage audiovisual, production, staging, and on-site requirements with vendors.
• Source and manage event vendors within contracts and budgets.
• Develop layouts, floor plans, and guest-flow plans for professional events.
• Oversee operational execution of key events and initiatives.
• Coordinate with Marketing for event-specific collateral and branding.
• Provide training and operational guidance to Regional Event Coordinators.
