Job summary

Herzing University is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead strategy, planning, and execution of all TA activities across faculty and staff. This role oversees the TA department, collaborates with stakeholders, and requires travel for campus visits and events.

Responsibilities include developing long-term TA plans, building CAF pipelines, managing KPIs, budgeting, and coordinating with campus leadership on workforce plans. Travel is a key component of this role.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of leadership experience in TA, preferably in higher education or healthcare.
• 10-15 years of general TA experience.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting trends, tech, and best practices.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage KPIs, and drive improvements.
• Experience in building or scaling a TA function, including budget ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement TA plans in collaboration with HR leadership.
• Champion best practices in recruitment and candidate experience.
• Establish and monitor TA KPIs and report progress.
• Promote employer brand and employee value proposition with marketing.
• Anticipate future recruiting needs and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Develop pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
• Own CAF workforce planning by term, campus, and market.
• Build CAF pipelines via evergreen postings, networks and partnerships.
• Ensure CAF candidates meet state Board and accreditation requirements.
• Manage post-offer processes to shorten time to start.
• Support new market launches with market research and staffing plans.
• Report CAF KPIs including inventory growth and time-to-start.
• Define department roles, coach staff, and design team structure.
• Oversee TA budget, vendor contracts, onboarding compliance, and executive searches.
