Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit to place a Director of Talent Acquisition. This leadership role directs the organization-wide recruiting function, building diverse, high-quality teams and scalable hiring programs.

You will lead end-to-end recruitment, partner with executives, and shape employer branding to attract top talent. Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years of TA leadership, a relevant bachelor's degree, and a track record of aligning recruitment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of talent acquisition leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit, human services, healthcare, or mission-driven orgs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract diverse, high-quality talent across the organization.
• Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and sourcing through onboarding.
• Partner with hiring managers and leaders to understand current and future hiring needs.
• Conduct market research and provide strategic workforce recommendations to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal communications and marketing to strengthen employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, EEO guidelines, and recruiting best practices.
• Track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics to drive continuous improvement and candidate experience.
• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the hiring process.
• Manage relationships with external recruiting partners, vendors, and industry networks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the People & Culture team.
• Stay current on talent acquisition trends, labor markets, HR best practices, and employment legislation.
• Support broader HR initiatives, policies, and projects as needed.
