The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites engineers to join the System Realization and Resilience group in supporting strategic weapon systems. You will apply systems engineering to guide design, development, and verification across programs, using MBSE and digital engineering to inform technical direction.

We seek candidates with a degree in engineering or related field, willingness to travel, and the ability to obtain U.S. security clearances (Secret/Top Secret).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Interest in Systems Engineering and/or SpecialtyEngineering domains.
  • Willing to travel periodically, including short visits to sponsor offices and other bases.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance by start date and potentially Top Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering expertise to guide design, development, and evaluation of strategic weapon systems.
  • Participate as a systems engineer on projects, studies, and working groups across the program lifecycle.
  • Use MBSE and digital engineering to enable development of strategic weapon systems.
  • Deliver formal reports and presentations to sponsors and contractors, communicating concepts and analyses.
