Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory seeks a highly skilled Systems Engineer to guide the design, development, and evaluation of strategic weapon systems.

You will work on multidisciplinary projects, applying MBSE and digital engineering to support acquisition, test planning, and risk assessments. Travel to sponsor sites and bases is required, with a focus on national defense programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of systems engineering experience in design, development, or evaluation of complex systems.
• Experience with CONOPS, system requirements and architecture, design and verification activities.
• Familiarity with MBSE and DE tools and processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Active Secret clearance; eligibility for Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Provide Systems Engineering expertise to guide design, development, and evaluation of strategic weapon systems.
• Participate as a systems engineer on projects, studies, and working groups across lifecycle.
• Apply MBSE and DE to enable development of strategic weapon systems.
• Deliver presentations and reports to codify recommendations and analysis results.
