Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Manager-Supply Management to lead a team of buyers in the Supplier Operations group. The person will oversee supplier relations, procurement, and performance, ensuring material flow into Microchip fabs.

The role can be based at Fab 4 in Gresham, Oregon or Fab 5 in Colorado Springs, Colorado with responsibilities spanning sourcing, contract negotiations, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline.
• 5+ years of supply chain management experience.
• 5+ years of manager or supervisor experience.
• Proficient with MS Office products; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Able to coordinate multiple facets of the operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Supply Management staff, including day-to-day duties, performance, and mentoring.
• Oversee North American supply management in addition to direct reports.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers.
• Coordinate procurement with production, inventory, distribution, and transport.
• Respond to escalations of Fab supply issues with timely solutions.
• Act as liaison between internal customers and suppliers.
