Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and execute cross-functional sourcing strategies that strengthen supplier capability and reduce risk. You will partner with engineering and business teams to align roadmaps with procurement objectives and drive sourcing excellence.

The role requires global negotiation experience, leadership in supplier management, and the ability to travel internationally up to 20%.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Technical field required.
10+ years of global strategic sourcing management experience.
Strong global procurement experience using strategic sourcing methods.
Excellent relationship management across suppliers and internal partners.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 20%).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute global sourcing strategies, including supplier selection and risk mitigation.
Lead supplier relationships, contracts, pricing agreements, and category management.
Deliver cost reductions through market analysis and make-versus-buy analysis.
Build supplier and market intelligence to support sourcing strategy and business planning.
Drive lean transformation and continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Analyze suppliers to optimize supply chain performance and mitigate risks.
Manage sourcing through new product development and launch readiness.
Share best practices and support team development.
