Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies that strengthen supplier capability, reduce risk, and align with business goals.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve supply challenges and provide timely technical and financial insight. The role leads supplier relationships, contracts, cost reductions, and market intelligence, working with engineering on product requirements and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in global strategic sourcing management.
• Experience across supplier selection, risk/compliance, negotiation, roadmap alignment, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to drive change and build stakeholder relationships.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 20%).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies with supplier qualification and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier relationships, contracts, and performance assessments.
• Deliver cost reductions through market analysis and make-vs-buy analysis.
• Build supplier and market intelligence to support sourcing strategy.
• Drive lean transformation across category procurement processes.
• Collaborate with engineering to align product requirements and sourcing options.
