Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc in Minnesota seeks a Supply Chain Planner to optimize inventory across the network and align with target service levels for the assigned portfolio. You will collaborate with customers, manage ERP-driven planning, and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining strong supplier and internal coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing or planning, a Bachelor’s degree (or 3 years + Master’s), and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities
• Understanding of ERP tools (Baan or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Works directly with customers to understand planning systems and how Benchmark and customer processes interact.
• Participates on the Customer Focus Team to support planning goals.
• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing costs.
• Owns ERP parameters driving component and assembly planning.
• Monitors inventory levels and generates action plans to meet site goals.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal resources for AVL choices and alternatives.
• Supports supplier scorecard reviews and customer quarterly business reviews.
