• 4-year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years in purchasing or planning accounts/commodities.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with customers to gain understanding of planning systems and Benchmark processes.
• Participates on the Customer Focus Team supporting planning and procurement processes.
• Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing carrying costs.
• Owns and maintains ERP parameters to drive component and assembly planning.
• Monitors and reports inventory levels and generates action plans to meet site goals.
• Analyzes forecast and production schedule changes for procurement impact.
• Ensures consistency between demand information, forecast, and production schedule.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal resources for AVL choices and alternatives.
• Manages EOL and other supply issues and supports NPI changes.
• Monitors material market conditions and communicates risk mitigation plans.
• Executes and optimizes MRP to ensure material availability for production.
• Drives cost reduction through supplier changes and process improvements.
• Participates in supplier scorecard reviews and quarterly business reviews.
• Creates tracking tools for cost reduction, BOM health, and NPI/EOL planning.
