Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Supply Chain/Materials Planner to manage procurement, MRP data, and capacity planning for bought parts. The role collaborates with Buyers, Sourcing Specialists, and Production Schedulers to ensure on-time material availability and optimal inventory levels.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s in business or supply chain, strong scheduling skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge are preferred; this position is onsite five

• Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain required
• Strong scheduling and organizational skills

• MS Office skills with ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Manage purchased material requirements and ensure material availability with appropriate inventory levels
• Communicate supplier capacity issues and coordinate with Buyers on capacity
• Support lean manufacturing and cost/lead-time reduction initiatives and changes
