Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Berlin, CT is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee direct material supply, planning, procurement, trade compliance, and cost control. You will drive continuous improvement, inventory accuracy, and lean practices across Buyer/Planners and production, ensuring on-time customer orders.

The role is onsite at our Berlin, CT office and reports to the Berlin General Manager with cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of supply management experience in a high-volume factory environment.
• Advanced knowledge of procurement and inventory principals, theories and processes.
• Proven experience addressing material shortages, quality issues and pricing in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor a professional team of buyers.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Buyer/Planners in planning, purchasing, inventory accuracy and supplier follow-up.
• Lead material management processes, KPI application, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage procurement policies and establish yearly strategic objectives with production departments.
• Oversee material throughput, shortages, inventory accuracy, and excess/obsolete inventory.
• Drive lean transformation and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure effective collaboration across the supply chain.
