Job summary

Amentum seeks a Subcontract Administrator in Paducah, KY to manage bids, prepare contracts, and oversee compliance with FAR/DEAR. This role supports project management, client coordination, and contract closeout while ensuring safety and proper documentation.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain a DOE L clearance. Expect duties across pre-award through post-award phases.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field with 5 years of related experience.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expert understanding of federal and state policies and regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• DOE L clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare list of contractors to which proposal requests may be submitted and compile RFP packages.
• Review bid tabulations and modify/update contract scope, terms and commercial terms.
• Coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and seek project approvals.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients to align understanding of the subcontract.
• Award contract via phone, telex, or letter and manage post-award activities.
• Solicit awards, administer and close contracts per FAR/DEAR and project procedures.
• Prepare subcontract documents reflecting changes and route for signature.
• Track status of deliverables to ensure contract compliance.
• May relocate to the job site to negotiate variances and monitor contractor performance.
• Maintain safety procedures and participate in Safety Work Groups.
