Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Deputy Procurement/Contracts Manager to lead procurement and subcontracting activities in Paducah, KY. You will oversee purchasing actions, ensure FAR/DEAR compliance, and provide day-to-day leadership to the procurement team to support project performance.

You will collaborate with DOE contracting officers, finance, legal, and field teams to drive compliant, auditable processes, and manage risk while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of federal procurement/subcontracting experience under FAR/DEAR in a DOE or federal contractor environment.
• Experience supporting an approved purchasing system and cost/price analysis.
• Familiarity with contract types and source selection processes.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities including planning, solicitation, negotiation, award, administration and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DEAR and DOE directives and internal procedures.
• Review procurement documentation, including price reasonableness determinations and sole source justifications.
• Oversee subcontract administration, including modifications, funding actions and closeout.
• Lead and mentor procurement staff, ensuring auditable, compliant actions.
