Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Pre-Construction Field Procurement Manager to lead subcontractor sourcing and installation cost modeling across branch offices. You will collaborate with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization to ensure accurate pricing and compliant procurement processes.

The role requires organizing supplier development, managing quotes, and negotiating costs, while aligning with BOS procedures and DoA requirements to deliver efficient, cost-effective project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Electrical industry or bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in building systems or operational processes.
• Experience in design-build construction and HVAC highly preferred.
• Works effectively with sales and demonstrates leadership.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• 5-8 years as a project manager with estimating experience in HVAC controls construction or trades.
• Procurement experience focusing on construction/HVAC with cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crucial relationship between field offices and our supplier base.
• Be the main procurement contact for the assigned branch office with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization.
• Develop installation cost models and identify/select 3rd party subcontractors.
• Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring BOS procedures and DoA compliance.
• Develop, host, and review all RFPs; manage supplier relationships and pricing negotiations.
• Review project documents to ensure contracts provide adequate subcontractor provisions.
