Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned Government Affairs and Public Policy professional to shape policy and engage with state and local policymakers across key markets in the United States. You will lead advocacy plans, monitor legislative developments, build bipartisan coalitions, and collaborate with executives to align policy with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative analysis, or regulatory advocacy.
2 years of experience working directly with legislative/executive officials, policy committees, or government agencies.
Experience managing public policy issues and advocacy campaigns.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal leaders to align government affairs and public policy strategies with corporate goals.
Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to assess business impact and identify strategic opportunities.
Develop comprehensive advocacy plans, policy positions, and materials in support of government policy goals.
Build trusted relationships with key policymakers, officials, trade associations, and coalition partners.
Facilitate executive engagements with public officials and manage external consultants and lobbyists to ensure compliant advocacy.
