Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned Government Affairs professional to drive policy initiatives across multiple U.S. markets.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, engage state and local policymakers, and influence legislative outcomes to support business growth while mitigating risks. You will work with senior leaders to shape public policy strategies, develop advocacy materials, and coordinate with trade associations and coalitions.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative analysis, or regulatory advocacy.
• 2 years of experience working directly with legislative/executive officials, policy committees, or government agencies.
• Experience managing public policy issues and advocacy campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal leaders to align government affairs and public policy strategies with corporate goals.
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to assess business impact and identify strategic opportunities.
• Develop comprehensive advocacy plans, policy positions, and materials in support of government policy goals.
• Build trusted relationships with key policymakers, officials, trade associations, and coalition partners.
• Facilitate executive engagements with public officials and manage external consultants and lobbyists to ensure compliant advocacy.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
