Job summary

Agile Space Industries seeks an experienced Controller to own accounting operations across multiple sites, ensuring accurate GAAP financials, cost management, and compliant reporting. You will lead a growing team, optimize close processes, and partner with Contracts and PM on audits and rate submissions.

This role offers remote work flexibility while near Durango, CO or Tulsa, OK is preferred. With 10–12 years of progressive accounting experience and a background in manufacturing, you will drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10–12 years progressive accounting experience, incl. 3+ years as Controller/ACM; 4+ years in supervision.
• Experience owning an ERP system.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Manufacturing cost accounting: inventory, job/project costing, margins.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, incurred cost, provisional rates, DCAA.
• Proven ability to close books, manage audits, lead a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with GAAP financial statements.
• Own AR, AP, payroll, G/L, reconciliations, fixed assets, lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Run cost accounting for manufacturing and test; analyze margins.
• Oversee project accounting in Deltek Costpoint; ensure FAR/CAS compliance.
• Prepare internal accounting/financial reports for management and directors.
• Assist with annual budget; improve procedures and controls.
• Coordinate with Contracts/PM on incurred-cost submissions and audits.
• Prepare for audits and financing events; maintain internal controls.
• Manage tax compliance with external advisors; global filings if any.
• Hire, develop, and evaluate an accounting team; scale processes.
