Job summary

Agile Space Industries, Inc. is seeking a senior Controller to lead financial close, cost accounting, and internal controls for a multi-site aerospace hardware business.

The role partners with Program Management, Contracts, and Operations to ensure accurate costs, margins, and compliance with FAR and CAS. The position oversees accounting operations, budgeting, audits, and finance team development, with a strong emphasis on scaling processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10–12 years accounting experience with at least 3 years in a Controller/Accounting Manager role.
• Experience owning an ERP system and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition and manufacturing margins.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit expectations.
• Proven ability to close books timely and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver GAAP financial statements and reporting.
• Own AR/AP, payroll, ledgers, fixed assets, and lease accounting (ASC 842).
• Run cost accounting for manufacturing: inventory, WIP, variances, margins.
• Oversee project accounting in Deltek Costpoint to align with FAR/CAS.
• Support budgets, governance, and internal control improvements.
• Coordinate tax compliance, audits, and external reporting with stakeholders.
• Build and develop a high-performing accounting team and improve processes.
