Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking a Technical Business Development Manager to drive defense-focused growth across space mobility, space control, and missile defense. You will translate spacecraft system knowledge into compelling solutions for national security stakeholders and shape requirements through early engagement with acquisition offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, capture, or program management in national security space
• Deep understanding of spacecraft subsystems, mission design, launch integration, or space vehicle operations
• Experience shaping and winning defense programs or advanced concept studies
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work on-site in Redondo Beach
• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute defense-focused BD strategies for space mobility, space control, SDA, and missile defense
• Identify and qualify opportunities with DoW, USSF, MDA, SDA customers
• Shape requirements through white papers, CONOPS, and system architecture trades
• Collaborate with engineering and mission teams to craft compelling solutions and papers
• Lead capture efforts, proposals, and stakeholder outreach
• Represent Impulse Space at industry days, forums, and classified engagements
• Maintain awareness of acquisition pathways (OTAs, MTA, SBIR/STTR, IDIQ) and solicitations
• Coordinate with executive leadership to align defense pursuits with strategic objectives
