Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks a Strategic Cell Senior Acquisition Management Specialist to lead acquisition efforts for highly classified ACAT-like space control systems and to coordinate all activities and documentation required for Defense Acquisition Boards. You will work closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure program success.

This role demands 20+ years of space program experience, TS/SCI eligibility, and deep PPBE knowledge, with a proven ability to guide government managers

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• TS/SCI eligibility.
• 20+ years of experience in space programs.
• Deep understanding of acquisition and DoW space launch, ground and sustainment.
• Expert in acquiring highly classified ACAT-like space control systems.
• Knowledge of the PPBE process and HQ staffing.
• Ability to lead a team of acquisition and systems engineering professionals.
• PMT 4010 Certificate (or predecessor).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical advice for projects and programs and support acquisition efforts for advanced technology and integration activities.
• Review and coordinate performance reports to ensure compliance with Space Systems Command, Space Force, Air Force, and DoW policy, laws, and regs.
• Coordinate with internal/external acquisition organizations and monitor front office tasks for completeness and quality of documents.
• Provide guidance for aligning portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding.
• Analyze findings, identify discrepancies, and advise the government on resolution.
• Maintain and analyze the acquisition forecast to ensure current and consistent content.
• Incorporate inputs from force design and future priority lists to enhance planning and capability.
• Maintain awareness of programs and technology development across the portfolio and support IPTs and working groups.
• Advise the Government program manager on high-visibility engagements and establish interfaces with customers and contractors.
• Draft, review, and process program acquisition information suitable for public release to industry and stakeholders.
