Job summary

Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a collaborative and strategic Sourcing Supervisor in Fergus Falls, MN. You will oversee sourcing operations, lead a procurement team, manage contracts, and strengthen supplier relationships to drive efficiency and compliance.

Reporting to the Manager Sourcing, you will influence procurement strategy, mentor staff, and partner with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional internal service while reducing risk and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Procurement, or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, contract administration, supplier management, or related discipline.
Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate, develop, and support employees while fostering a positive team environment.
Strong knowledge of purchasing methodologies, contract administration, contract law, negotiation practices, and risk management.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to build a high-performing team.
Oversee day-to-day sourcing operations, ensuring timely procurement and compliance.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver excellent customer service.
Negotiate, administer, and oversee contracts for services, materials, and software; manage risk and compliance.
