Job summary

Sportech, located in Elk River, MN, seeks a Sourcing Manager to manage strategic sourcing and drive supplier collaborations that bring new products to life. You will develop and implement supplier strategies, optimize the supplier matrix, and negotiate agreements to meet financial goals while delivering value to customers.

You will partner with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality to ensure alignment, reduce risk, and improve overall supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain or engineering.
• Five+ years of increasing responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and ability to influence key stakeholders.
• Proven track record in RFP development, sourcing processes, and transitions.
• Detail oriented strategic thinker with analytical capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; flexible and adaptable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Advanced Excel; Epicor experience preferred.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall spend across assigned commodity categories.
• Develop and maintain a strategic supplier matrix to support company initiatives.
• Structure cost reduction programs using VA/VE techniques to reduce complexity and risk.
• Lead the development and implementation of supplier/commodity strategy including analyses.
• Develop category sourcing plans, conduct RFIs/RFPs, negotiate and award contracts.
• Negotiate complex agreements with global suppliers considering price, delivery, IP, and terms.
• Develop contingency plans and blanket contracts to maximize savings over years.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews to drive on-time delivery and quality.
• Ensure repeatable product quality with minimal inventory and production disruption.
• Support new product launches with supplier selection and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain supplier contract database and related NDAs, etc.
• Collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Quality to align design and supply.
