Job summary

Sportech is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Elk River, MN to lead the strategic sourcing lifecycle with internal and external partners. You will drive sourcing strategy for new and existing product lines, optimize supplier matrix, and protect profitability.

You will negotiate complex agreements, manage supplier performance, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risk while supporting company financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain or engineering.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional influence.
• Strong RFP, sourcing strategies and project management track record.
• Detail-oriented strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and business acumen.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Advanced Excel; Epicor preferred.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall spend across assigned commodity categories.
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve profitability, operations, and quality.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier matrix supporting current/future initiatives.
• Structure cost reduction programs and reduce supply chain complexity.
• Lead development and implementation of supplier/commodity strategy; spend and supplier analyses.
• Develop category sourcing plans; RFI/RFQ processes; bid/price analysis; negotiations; contracts.
• Negotiate complex agreements with global suppliers considering IP, pricing and delivery.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risk; may use blanket contracts for multi-year savings.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance reviews and set goals for on-time delivery and cost reductions.
• Ensure repeatable product quality from supply base with minimal inventory.
• Suggest productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain supplier contract database and related legal documents.
• Collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Quality to align design with strategic base.
