Job summary

Rite-Hite Corporation is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead supplier selection, negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align supplier base with business goals.

The role focuses on cost productivity, contract development, and new product introductions from the sourcing side, aiming to improve total cost of ownership and gross margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 3 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing or related environment.
• Knowledge of supplier contracts, quality tools, and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in data analysis and procurement tools.
• Proven ability to assess, negotiate, and manage suppliers.
• Strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify cost productivity through TCO improvements, negotiations, and design-to-cost initiatives.
• Manage supplier performance and drive corrective actions using data analytics.
• Develop and execute supplier agreements delivering best-in-class service.
• Lead New Product Innovation sourcing efforts with preferred suppliers.
• Identify new suppliers to support lifecycle product strategy.
• Use SRM software to improve supplier execution and reporting.
• Develop RFx processes and report risks, capacity, quality, and compliance.
• Optimize supply chain responsiveness and material management escalations.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality to qualify suppliers.
• Coordinate with procurement and engineering for smooth supplier transitions.
• Conduct RFx processes to select contracts with favorable terms.
