Job summary

Aston Carter seeks a Senior Specialist, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement for the Tomball, TX site. You will lead supplier qualification, negotiate agreements, and drive end-to-end procurement across functions, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services at competitive prices.

You will own supplier relationships, oversee bids, and implement audit and risk controls. Travel up to 20% domestically/internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of related experience in Strategic Sourcing & Procurement.
• Strong procurement expertise and end-to-end sourcing process knowledge.
• Experience in supply chain management and supplier risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with vendor management and forecasting communication.
• Experience in contract terms and statements of work development.
• Comfort with cross-functional collaboration and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between Engineering, Operations, Sales, and PM to capture customer needs.
• Evaluate suppliers and build a robust supply base aligned to requirements.
• Support customer bids and new customer setup with deliverables.
• Maintain standardized supplier bid processes to support growth.
• Negotiate agreements and develop statements of work.
• Lead supplier communications and capacity updates; manage risks.
• Drive continuous process improvement across procurement activities.
• Perform supplier screening, financial reviews, and risk assessments.
