Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Business Partner to own the commercial side of HDO and R&D service portfolios. You will lead end-to-end negotiations, drive contract templates, and manage vendor performance, aligning terms with business needs and strategic priorities.

The role requires 7+ years in strategic sourcing and a proven track record in multi-million dollar services negotiations, with strong analytical and executive communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of strategic sourcing, category management, vendor management, or commercial negotiation experience, primarily in services (data, BPO, lab or research, managed services, staffing).
• Hands-on contract experience with MSAs, SOWs, and templates; know where commercial value sits in contracts.
• Track record of leading multi-million dollar services negotiations.
• Judgment on leverage across a portfolio of vendors and deals.
• Strong analytical skills: rate/unit-cost analysis, TCO modeling, pricing model design.
• Services vendor management: SLAs, scorecards, QBRs, escalations.
• Clear, direct communication with executives; AI tools fluency in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial redline for HDO and R&D services agreements and renewals; collaborate with Legal.
• Build and maintain template library (MSA, SOW, pricing exhibits, SLA schedules).
• Lead renewal calendar and ensure deliberate commercial decisions; track contract data for visibility and enforcement.
• Lead pricing and commercial strategy across portfolio; run key negotiations; develop playbooks and Claude-powered tools.
