This on-site role requires a bachelor's degree and a strong background in aerospace materials and cost-focused sourcing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years purchasing/managerial experience.
• Strong negotiation skills in single-source environment with long lead times.
• Understanding of aerospace machining and raw material markets to drive cost reduction.
• Support LTAs to ensure continuity of supply.
• Analytical/technical skills for business practices and automation opportunities.
• Cost accounting understanding and practical application.
• Advanced computer skills for electronic processing.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs Division purchases of materials and components.
• Establishes supplier criteria and promotes strategic suppliers.
• Interviews, selects and negotiates with suppliers; leverages local vs. group suppliers.
• Drives continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
• Develops re-order procedures and contingency programs.
• Benchmarks best practices and maintains supplier performance records.
• Drives margin expansion through deflation and monitors price indexes.
• Develops and hires top talent for the department.
